I’m Nervous to Book a Boudoir Shoot — Here’s Exactly What to Expect

If you’re here, there’s a very good chance you’ve thought about booking a boudoir session…
and then immediately followed that thought with:

“Yeah, but I could never do that.”

Too awkward.
Too uncomfortable.
Not confident enough.
Not my body type.
Not right now. Maybe later.

I hear this all the time.

And I want you to know something right away:

👉 Every single woman you see on my site felt the exact same way before her session.

Yes—every single one.

Let’s talk about the nerves (because they’re completely normal)

Most of my clients walk in saying some version of:

  • “I have no idea what I’m doing.”

  • “I’m not photogenic.”

  • “This is so out of my comfort zone.”

  • “Please don’t make me do anything weird.”

And honestly?
Perfect. You’re exactly who this experience is for.

You are not expected to:

  • know how to pose

  • feel confident walking in

  • have any modeling experience

  • look like anyone you’ve seen online

That’s my job.

What actually happens during your session

Let me walk you through it, because once you know what to expect… everything feels a lot less scary.

1. You walk in (nervous… obviously)

Totally normal. I expect it.

We’ll chat for a few minutes, ease into things, and I’ll guide you through everything. Nothing is rushed. Nothing is forced.

2. I guide you through every single pose

You are never left wondering what to do with your hands, your face, your body… any of it.

I will:

  • show you exactly how to pose

  • adjust you gently so everything looks natural

  • coach you through expressions

  • hype you up the entire time (because you’ll need it at first)

👉 You do not need to know a single thing going in.

3. You start to relax (this is the magic moment)

Somewhere around 10–15 minutes in… something shifts.

I show you a couple of stunning photos on the back of the camera.

You stop overthinking.
You start trusting the process.
And you realize:

“Oh… I can actually do this.”

This is my favorite part to watch.

4. You feel… different

Not in a dramatic, overnight transformation way.

But in a quiet, powerful, oh wow kind of way.

You stand a little taller.
You move a little softer.
You start seeing yourself differently—even before you see a single photo.

5. Then you see your photos

And this is where everything clicks.

Because you’re not looking at:

  • flaws

  • angles you hate

  • the version of yourself you critique in the mirror

You’re seeing yourself the way other people see you.

Strong.
Feminine.
Beautiful.
Confident—even if you didn’t feel that way walking in.

The biggest misconception about boudoir

That you have to be confident before you do it.

You don’t.

Boudoir isn’t for women who feel amazing about themselves.
It’s for women who are learning how to.

If you’re thinking “maybe someday…”

Let me gently challenge that.

There will always be a reason to wait:

  • when I lose weight

  • when life calms down

  • when I feel better about myself

  • when I have more time

But the women who walk away from this experience saying
“I wish I did this sooner”
are the ones who almost didn’t book at all.

You don’t have to feel ready

You just have to be willing.

Nervous? That’s normal.
Unsure? Also normal.
A little scared? Honestly… expected.

But if even a small part of you is curious about what this could feel like—

That’s your sign.

Ready to take the first step?

You don’t have to have it all figured out.
You don’t have to feel confident.
You don’t even have to know what you’d wear yet.

Just reach out. We’ll figure the rest out together 🤍
